Being Homo

By Syed Mohammad Rizwan

The main motive behind this article is a question that what is happening to us? I have read different articles and peoples’ opinions, but sadly in striving to become up-to-date why are we leaving Islam behind. Some may find my article ‘molvish’ but believe me I am no molvi, I am a regular guy like you. However, I am scared by how people are making their own terms without checking from the Quran. Recently, I read an article in support of homosexuality and was more astonished after reading the views of our young generation, they were basically supporting it – wait, don’t judge me yet. I am not advising that gay people should be killed or hanged just read my point of view:

History is repeating itself as in old times too people started making changes in holy books; let it be Taurait, Zaboor or Injeel. Now people are making changes in religion without even reading Quran which is the best counselor. Don’t rely on some Mufti just consult Quran by yourself. I’m telling you if this continues soon there will be debates on incest should be allowed as well as zoo-philia. This is a mental disease or hormonal disorder. If you don’t believe, search you will find most people adapt to homosexuality happen to be both homo and straight at the same time. You will see its result after some years. Your society will die moral death. Truth can’t be changed over time and truth is there is no place of pleasure from where you defecate of until you nurture that feeling. The world is being mono-cultural. It is easier to propagate anything if done with intent. You see hundreds of gays around to tell me how many of them seem normal, you can’t be normal if you practice abnormality all the time that’s my view.

In view with Quranic reference:

Quran (7:80-84) – “…For ye practice your lusts on men in preference to women: ye are indeed a people transgressing beyond bounds…. And we rained down on them a shower (of brimstone)” – An account that is borrowed from the Biblical story of Sodom. Muslim scholars through the centuries have interpreted the “rain of stones” on the town as meaning that homosexuals should be stoned, since no other reason is given for the people’s destruction. (Inexplicably, the story is also repeated in Suras 15:7427:58 and 29:40).

Quran (7:81) – “Will ye commit abomination such as no creature ever did before you?” This verse is part of the previous text and it establishes that homosexuality as different from (and much worse than) adultery or other sexual sin. According to the Arabic grammar, homosexuality is called the worst sin, while references elsewhere describe other forms of non-marital sex as being “among great sins.”

Quran (26:165-166) – “Of all the creatures in the world, will ye approach males, “And leave those whom Allah has created for you to be your mates? Nay, ye are a people transgressing”

Quran (4:16) – “If two men among you are guilty of lewdness, punish them both. If they repent and amend, Leave them alone” This is the Yusuf Ali translation. The original Arabic does not use the word “men” and simply says “two from among you.” Yusuf Ali may have added the word “men” because the verse seems to refer to a different set than referred to in the prior verse (explicitly denoted as “your women”). In other words, since 4:15 refers to “your women”, 4:16 is presumably written to and refers to men.

What we do?

Normally there two fractions – one are those who support this that let them live and it is their right to practice what they want so my friends it means you are approving it so you are also included in that sin, because the least you can do to stop a sin is speak up.  The other fraction is bit violent as they abuse and bully homosexual people or doesn’t agree on their views and hide behind religion to shield themselves but sorry our religion doesn’t preach hate for anyone. I don’t urge you to kill homosexual people, there have been always a peaceful way and Islam is all about peace.

What should we do?

Many of people claim that “no one is born homosexual” so all of you should research upon it because homosexuality is genetically inherited but the good news is homosexuality isn’t fatal at all by alternate therapies one can be cured. In civilized societies there are therapy sessions for every issue, you must have heard of them so why can’t we have sessions for solving our issues calmly. We Muslims should understand what does being tolerant means as being harsh to homosexual people will not solve the problem. We should help them in curing themselves because hate is not what our religion preaches us to practice. By patience, we can achieve anything, instead of arguing with abuses we should try to understand each other. Believe me, there is no shame in accepting others. Let it be any topic be polite to others while posting your views as it’s our selection of words which portrays our background. Homosexual people need psychological help and it’s related to the environment or other factors in that person’s life so instead of killing or bullying them we have to help them. It’s just like urge to smoke or to have drugs but it can be prevented and controlled.
